Skillet-fried Granny Smith Apples

Ingredients
3 Granny Smith apples
.5 cup flour
vegetable oil (.5 inch in skillet)

Batter
1 cup all purpose flour
2 eggs
1.5 cups buttermilk
.5 tsp. ground cinnamon
.125 cup brown sugar

Directions

Heat oil.
Core & cut apples into half inch rings.

In medium bowl, mix batter ingredients in the order listed.
Mix thoroughly.
Lightly flour apples, dip into batter & fry each side until golden brown & crisp.
