Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
two thirds cup sugar
1 egg
2 & one half cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla
one half tsp. baking powder
one quarter tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Sift in flour, baking powder and salt. Chill in refrigerator for approximately 1 hour. Roll on lightly floured board to one eighth inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees about 12 minutes.

Note: Bake at 325 degrees, if pressed.
